Nasturtium, Jewel Mix

Have you been amazed by the colorful flowers from your neighbor’s backyard? Say no more! Jewel Mix Nasturtium are definitely a must have.

Flowers that are bright red, orange, pink and yellow and grow 2” wide can light up your garden. It is an annual flower seed that blossoms in June until the first frost. Its leaves are round in shape and are edible! Yes! Both the flower and the leaves can be eaten!

In spring, you can plant the seeds directly under the sun. It is not suggested that you start growing them indoors because they cannot be transplanted well. Soak the flower seeds in water overnight before sowing them. Plant the flower seeds ½ inch deep. The flowers typically appear after 8 to 12 weeks after being sown. When the climate is cooler, the plant needs to be in an area in your garden where it gets direct sunlight. When you’re in a region that is mostly hot, the shade in the afternoon is what the plant prefers.
