Hummingbirds and flowers are in a win-win situation. Flowers can produce food which is a combination of water and sugar that really attracts the birds. On the other side, hummingbirds move pollen for the plant also known as pollination. 

Not only for hummingbirds, you can also enjoy the vivid colors until the end of spring. Below are what the flower mix includes:

  • BEE BALM – also known as wild bergamot is beloved in flower beds for its beautiful colors of red, pink, purple or white.
  • BUTTERFLY WEED– it’s a must have plant for people who have green thumbs. It produces bright orange, yellow or red blooms in summer.
  • SHOOTING STAR COLUMBINE– delicate, dart-like blossoms with peeled-back petals. Commonly blooms white and pink flowers.
  • CORAL BELLS– also known as alumroot are plants that can be found in several foliage colors such as bronze, purple and more.
  • FLOWERING TOBACCO– is a large group of plants in the nightshade family. It is best to be planted on walkways and paths so it can be a source of fragrance to other people passing by.
  • FOXGLOVE– these tall flower plants blooms in colors white, lavender, yellow, pink, red and purple.
  • GODETIA– it is an annual plant that can grow 1 meter tall with slender, linear leaves of 2 to 7 cm long and 2 to 6 cm wide.
  •  DARK COLORS HOLLYHOCKS– these are mixed colors of white, red, pink, purple and yellow. Its stalks can grow from 5 to 7 feet tall.
  • LUPINE– it is tall and has a showy spire of flowers that can come in multiple colors. They make wonderful garden border plants.
  • NASTURTIUM– it is best known for its intensely bright yellow, orange and red flowers. Their lush, round leaves are also edible and incredibly delicious.
  • PENSTEMON– are perfect for growing in the middle of a mixed border. Giving it a full sun or light shade is the best and putting them in a fertile, moist soil that is free-draining.
  • ANNUAL PHLOX– is an early-season plant that is a perfect addition to containers or entryway plantings. It blooms in colorful bright shades of pink, red, purple and white.
  • RED HOT POKERS– it is tall and has some show stopping flower spikes in bright red, orange, yellow and other colors.
  • ROCKET LARKSPUR– for best blooms, they needed to be in full sun. Tightly compact blossoms are arranged on spikes in shade of pink, white and deep blue.
  • CLEOME (SPIDER FLOWER)– it is named for its tall, leggy appearance and the shape of its leaves. The flowers are large and showy.
  • STANDING CYPRESS– is a wildflower. It is bright red tubular flowers.
  • TEXAS SAGE– it is a slow-growing plant. It is drought tolerant, meaning it only requires a very little supplemental water. They will bloom again after a rainstorm.
  • ZINNIA– unlike Texas Sage, Zinnia is a fast-growing plant making them a great choice for first time flower growers.
